After an incredibly successful showcase at South African Menswear Week in Cape Town last week, ALC Menswear is coming in hot with their AW18 collection.
‘Feels Like Home’…the inspiration for their AW18 collection. Amanda, who was named ‘Durban Fashion Legend’ in 2016, looks to the streets of Durban’s CBD, to emulate and reflect “its sensory overload … the feeling one gets standing on a street corner or walking down an arcade and seeing sign upon sign, interesting aromas and textures”.
The launch of ALC’s ‘Feels Like Home’ comes in conjunction with their thrilling collaboration with Simon and Mary. They have worked together to create a range of Shweshwe caps and bucket hats for AW18.
Born and made in South Africa, ALC Menswear reflects this through their cloth & thread. Ready-to-wear garments, designed and styled for a conscious individual. In the year of Black Panther it would be a crime not to check out ALC Menswear. Proudly African and South African.
Officially opened in February 1996, Amanda later co-founded The Space in ’99 and then Space MAN ZA in November 2014. Space Man ZA is now open at the Mall of Africa, The Zone in Rosebank, Gateway Theatre of Shopping and Pavilion Shopping Centre.
